　　What do you think makes good friends? 你觉得什么会造就好朋友?

　　Well, there are many factors. But I believe the most important one should be sharing some common interest or goals. Only under this condition would strangers have the aspiration to learn about each other, have fun with each other or fight together. During this process, their bond would be enhanced and friendship would be strengthened.

　　有好多原因。但我认为最重要的应该是拥有一些共同的情趣或者目标。只有这这种情况下,陌生人才有渴望去互相了解,一起娱乐或者奋斗。在这一过程中，他们的联系会得到加强，友谊会更加巩固。

　　Do you keep in contact with friends from your childhood? 你跟童年的朋友还保持着联系吗?

　　I am afraid not. I had two or three best friends back in primary school. We used to go to school together, have meals together, and play together. But, we then went to different secondary schools and met new friends. Gradually we drifted apart. In fact, although I know they are living in the same city, I never contact them.

　　我恐怕没有。小字的时候我有两三个最好的朋友。我们一起上字,一起吃饭,一起玩。但随后我们上了不同的初中，遇到了新的朋 友。逐渐地，我们开始疏远。事实上,虽然我知道他们住在同一个城市,但我从来都没有联系过他们。

　　What kinds of people do you like to make friends with? 你喜欢跟什么样的人做朋友?

　　I love to make friends with forthright individuals who always talk bluntly, so that when I do something wrong or inappropriate, they can tell me straight away, rather than hiding their discontent or talking about it behind me. It is really annoying.

　　我喜欢跟那些有话直说,十分爽快的人做朋友。当我做了什么不太合适或者猎误的事情，他们会直接告诉我,而不是隐藏他们的不满,或者在背后谈论它。这真的很烦人。

　　Do you think you are a good friend to others? 你觉得对于他人而言，自己算是个好朋友吗?

　　Although it would be a little arrogant to say this, I believe I am an excellent friend to others. When they encounter some difficulties and need help, I am always there, day and night. I have lent them money, given them consolation when they broke up with their girlfriends, and celebrated their achievements. I did everything a good friend should do.

　　虽然这么说有点傲慢,但我觉得我对于其他人来说是个极好的朋友。当他们遇到一些困难,需要帮助的时候,我一直都在那里,不分昼夜。我借给过他们钱，当他们跟女朋友分手的时候安慰过他们,也庆祝过他们的成就。我做了一切好朋友应该做的事情。
